On Tuesday, we learned all about dirt. The class looked at different samples of dirt that we had found here on campus. We studied the different samples and sifted dirt through a sieve. We found rocks, twigs, roots, dead bugs and leaves. We are wondering what would happen if we add water to the dirt. Tomorrow we start the process of making bricks!

Thanks to our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Allnutt, who came to our room and helped us hang the fantastic dragon we have been creating. Come by the hallway next to our room and you can see it flying over your head!
On Friday, we walked to the grocery store(carrefour). Our vice-principal, Mr. Cox, joined us. As a part of our unit on Materials, we will be mixing and cooking different yummy treats in the classroom.
