The children have had a lot of fun with Spirit Week. Thanks to all those parents who helped their children participate. Next week the WIKI will be dedicated to this.
We have been busy learning about maps and globes this week and what the difference is. The children drew a map of the classroom and next week we with be making a whole class map.
In Language Arts the children are really be coming more of letter and words and are enjoying the activities related to the letter of the week.
In Maths the children's number recognition of numbers 11-20 continues to improve. We are also becoming better at making groups of those numbers.
Don't forget our Open House and Literacy at BCIS is next Friday. The morning will run as follows:
8.30 - 9.10 In the Atrium Explanation of how literacy is taught, literacy tools at BCIS and how you can help at home
9.10 - 10.30 In the classroom seeing how Literacy is done in PreK. (If you have another child in the Elementary School, you might like to use the first session 9.10 -9.50 to visit them and come to us at session 2 9.50 - 10.30)
10.30 - 11.00 Refreshments in the ES Lobby
11.00 - 12.20 Choose between a specialist lesson (PreK have Chinese from 11.40 - 12.20) or Parent IT and Literacy Session.
