Today was Wild West Day for Treasure Hunter Week and that meant one thing — Time for the beach! Half the camp went to the seaside for kayaking in the morning and the other half went to the beach in the afternoon. Once there campers enjoyed sandcastle making, games and kayaking. Fun was had by all as you will be able to tell by the pictures and video below.
While at camp, campers chose from several free choice activities and then participated in the wide game Gold Rush. In Gold Rush, teams looked for gold to cash in at the bank, but they had to beware of the bandits. Counselors chased kids around trying to take their gold. The kids were a bit too smart for them, though.
The amount of gold each team retrieved dictated how many chips they started out with at our Wild West Party Night. Dancing, games, and more fun ensued and all too soon it was time for bed. Tomorrow campers begin their signup free choice activities. Only one more night after tonight and then they will all be back home with you.
Goodnight from Camp Taiwan.
