The children learned how to weigh flour and butter, measure milk, add a pinch of sugar and a handful of raisins. Each child had their own bowl and wooden spoon and enjoyed mixing the ingredients to make their own scones. They learned lots of new vocabulary (rubbing in butter, mixing, raw, cooked, oven temperature, oven timer, scone cutters, pastry brush, baking tray, mixing bowl, weighing scales, etc).
