呼，生小孩後第一次這麼有毅力看完將近 1000 頁的長篇小說
因為「項塔蘭」實在太好看了，有點像現代版的 "基督山恩仇記"，或甚至有人與天方夜譚相並提，是一部真實版的自傳式小說。
但不同的是，故事中的主人翁其實是個天性良善，無時無刻不在自我檢討的一個人。在他的眼中，每個人都有可取之處，值得他學習的地方。甚至，在他的眼裡，每個女人都很美，男人都很帥，以作者斑斕多變的一生，能保有這麼真誠的赤子之心，真的很難得。
(聽說2011 年電影即將上映，有 Johnny Depp 喔！)
