Ivy looked through a small hole in the curtain. She saw the shiny blue waves washing away a few pebble stones and bringing back some washed wet seashells. Ivy was kind sort of girl but she still counted as a bit adventurous. She combed her curly long brown hair that was hardly ever let loose, she quickly tied it in a easy ponytail, then put on her old pink swimming costume, then put on a blue dress with a purple butterfly on it and a purple belt, over the costume. She was going shopping with her mum for a new swimming costume.
Ivy played swimming at the beach everyday so she always wore a swimming costume underneath clothes. She brought a towel tucked in her skirt, trouser, jean, denim skirt or belt. Today was a belt. Ivy got ready to go shopping before dashing down the stairs. "Mum! I'm ready! Come on!" Ivy stuffed her mouth with 2 pancakes with syrup and flipped quickly through a boring catalogue to pass the time. She couldn't wait to buy that plain blue short dress swimming costume.
After shopping, Ivy sat on the orange triangle seat, in the living room, dreaming about her in her new swimming costume. She decided to try it out. While dad her was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper, her mum was washing the dishes, Ivy decided this was the perfect time to try it on. She switched off the telly and quietly slipped upstairs.
She and the costume were a perfect match. That night in her dreams she heard a fairy tell her she must stop drinking hot cocoa. Ivy's naughty spirit heard and told her hot cocoa is delicious.
The next week Ivy just came back from swimming and playing and splashing about on the beach. She came back wrapped in a towel and hugging the wet clothes by her side. her hair dripped water on the mat as Ivy knocked on the door 4 times her father rushed to get her 2 more towels and he wrapped a towel on her head and another one for her underneath.
After a shower, her mum brought Ivy hot cocoa. This week, for some reason, she couldn't resist hot cocoa! After she drank the first sip of hot cocoa, her costume underneath her clothes, really... disappeared!
