Hi diary!
Today is the day of the ballet recital-the one performed on a bandstand made of concrete! I've already done it and I've just come to let you know...
IT WAS A GREAT-TASTIC SUCCESS!
The journey from the school to the school park was rather embarrassing as the girls (that's me!) wore a long, sash-y kind of tutu material dress. The dress looked so Greek and would probably be good for the Year 5 Greek day coming up but, I don't think Miss Alice is going to let me borrow it; I'll just have to make do with two pillowcases for now. Anyway, we were also wearing our ballet shoes and tights while we crossed a road! A driver, who stopped 'cause some kids, 3 boys&3 girls, who were wearing some ballet pumps, no, BALLET SHOES, crossed in front of him casually. Yep, that's what happened and he just stared! I don't blame him. I feel weird just walking outside wearing my ballet shoes.
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, Nel dropped out because "Oh yeah, um, Miss Alice, there's this wedding my dad only just told me about. It's on the day of the fair so, I can't make it.". EMERGECNCY! Phew, Olli didn't have to be partner-less in the dance, Miss Alice grabbed a Grade 3 girl called Courtney to replace Nel. So, that was all good.
So the show was...
BELLISSIMO! (lovely in Italian)
