The Nutcracker poem (M)

2013年12月11日
Christmas presents-pure happiness
Clara smiles in delight.
A handsome soldier
A nutcracker.

At once her brother saw it
and tried to get it.
The two tugged
A broken arm.

Clara cried-tears trickling
and begs her god-father
"Please fix it!"
a bandaged nutcracker.

A sleepless night had Clara,
so to her toy she went.
Suddenly came rats
and a real soldier.

The nutcracker became real,
the rats came rushing in.
Protection had Clara
outnumbered the soldier was.

Clara was desperate,
her shoe came to hand.
Aimed at King Rat she threw it,
down went the king.

Whisked away by the nutcracker,
outside into the snow they went
snowflakes danced around
a beautiful sight.

Clara was told the magical story,
in search of the Sugar Plum Fairy
she became. Off they went
and started the journey.

Terrible things they met,
with courage they defeated.
At last the Sugar Plum Fairy,
behold all the other countries.

The dance of tea from China,
and all the other food and drinks.
At last came the dance of the Fairy,
and a prince.

A prince did the nutcracker become,
a lovely night they had.
Closer she felt to the prince,
her heart thumped hard and loud.

How she felt belonging with the prince,
how she was always happy.
So sad Clara was to awaken,
to the morning light.

The party that day,
a boy she encountered.
The looks of the nutcracker, the prince,
who he was, Clara gave not a care.
