唉∼∼真是的∼ Ribbon Levels: A PINK Ribbon (with fins) Awarded to either a beginning swimmer who get s in the water without mom or dad in a regular class with a teacher and three other children safely, or to a graduate of the Water Baby and Transition program. A RAINBOW Ribbon (with fins) Awarded to a Pink swimmer who participates in a regular class safely and does not cry for three weeks in a row. A GREEN Ribbon (with fins) Awarded when a child is able to hold their breath, submerge (face down), and swim a short distance comfortably and happily using dog paddle and kicks. A BLUE Ribbon (with fins) Awarded to a child who is able to swim dog paddle with fins, taking five “up-face” breaths without panicking. The child must also be able to jump from the side of the pool without fins, turn around, swim back to the side of the wall and climb out on their own. A RED Ribbon (without fins) Upon moving from Green to Blue, I will use two fins and be designated as a Blue-2. As my strength and skill improves I will use one fin (Blue-1), and then no fins (Blue-0) when swimming. To earn my RED Ribbon I must master the following three skills without fins: • Starfish float on my back for 10 seconds without assistance from the instructor. • Swim one length of the pool alternating between my tummy and my back (Peanut Butter and Jelly). • Swim/kick one length of the pool on my back (Peanut Butter/wave to the fish).
