這是為人母的我們，可以拿來勉勵自己的。讓自己當一支稱職的弓，同時信任著偉大神聖的射者（或高層心靈），接受著他的愛，給予我的愛，滋養我的孩子，同時貢獻自己的母性能量，回饋給這個世界。
你們的孩子並不是你們的孩子。
他們乃是生命本身的企盼。
他們經你們而生，並非從你們而來。
他們雖與你同在，卻並不屬於你們。
你們可以把你們的愛給予他們，卻不能給予思想，因為他們有自己的思想。
你們可以建造房舍蔭庇他們的身體，但不是他們的心靈，
因為他們的心靈棲息於明日之屋，即使在夢中，你們也無緣造訪。
你們可努力倣傚他們，卻不要白費力氣讓他們像你。
歲月無法倒流，生命也不會停滯於昨日。

讓你欣然在射者的手中彎曲吧；

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
