Richard Callaghan has been coaching ice skating for 38 years, and has produced Olympic, World, andNational Ice Skating Champions. He is only one of three ice skating coaches in the last 55 years to coach
both the U.S. Men’s and Ladies Champion in the same year. Richard’s students have earned three World Gold Medals, three Silver Medals, and three Bronze Medals in addition to one Olympic Gold medal.
Richard has had students win National Gold Medals in each discpline, singles, dance, and pairs. Some ofRichard’s top medaling students include: Todd Eldredge (World Champion, 3 Timr Olypian, 6-Time U.S.
Champion), Tara Lipinski (Olympic & World Champion), Nicole Bobek (U.S. Champion & World BronzeMedalist), Kimmie Meissner (U.S. & World Champion), Shizuka Arakawa (Olympic, World, & Japanese Champion), Daisuke Takahashi (Olympic Medalist, World & Japanese Champion), and many others. Mr.
Callaghan was awarded the PSA (Professsional Skaters Association) Coach of the Year in 1995 for hisexceptional coaching achievements. He has a PSA Level 10 Ranking, the highest ranking given by Professional Skaters Association for ice skating coaches who have multipple World or Olympic Champions in any discpline. He is a USFS member and PSA, category A, certified figure skating coach.
