Dear everybody,

My name is Sean Yang from the 7th grade. Today I am talking about a memory I can never forget. This incident I am talking about is on a hiking trip in Lake George. We were walking up a path to the top of a mountain with my aunt and grandma. Even though the first part of the hike was easy, my grandma stopped and rested there. We would walk on and come back later. But there were a few obstacles along the way. Even though there was a path, it was rocky, causing me to trip a few times. Also, we got lost in the woods for a while. We climbed over a few rocks, but it didn’t feel right. We felt we might not be going in the right way, but we kept on walking. Suddenly, we saw other people walking up a few feet back us, looking at us all confused. The truth downed on us, and we found out that we were supposed to follow some colored signs on the trees. But the worst thing was the children, namely, my sister. I whined and complained along with her as well, but she would say, “Are we almost there? Can we stop now? Can we really ride back down?” These questions made our parents annoyed, but even if Sophie complained, we would drag her along. The hiking took a few hours or so, and we didn’t have any food left! But we went on, and finally we were on top! Oh, the view! Oh, the scenery! We saw miles and miles of forest and houses. The lake of Lake George sparked beautifully in the sunlight. So we went to the sightseeing point and kept observing till we heard a cry. Somebody, among us was crying! Of joy, no. It was my sister, crying because of the long way down. I remembered that there was no bus down, and that we had to walk down. I took it painfully, but Sophie’s face was pale. And now she was crying. It took a long time to get her to stop, and it turned out she was hungry as well. She wouldn’t move a bit, though, until we said we would eat a big meal when we get down. At that moment, she jumped up and become the leader of the path when we went down. She was running and singing songs. What a change! From crying to singing! That was the strangest but the one thing I couldn’t forget, along with the scenery and the obstacles. And finally, our journey ended, and Sophie was as happy as usual.

Thank you for your consideration.
