Reading Skills: Excellent
Derek is such an interesting student to have in my class. He is so sharp and observant. He follows in class and is always ready to work. The interesting thing is that Derek also takes time to watch his classmates. He likes to compete with them. His competitiveness is a good characteristic to have. It will fuel his ambition in the future. There are times that Derek goes a bit wild in class but this in normal. He is testing his boundaries with both his friends and me. I look forward to continuing to watch him grow as a student this year.
