Hello Parents
As you know it is World Book Day on Thursday March 1st (next week).
As part of our celebrations, we are planning a 'SWAP SHOP' for all of the primary school. The plan is for the children to bring in a book (or books) that they have read and are finished with and are happy to swap on Thursday.
The children should bring in any books that they want to swap and pass them to their class teacher ASAP (at least on any day BEFORE Thursday!). The number will be recorded. The children will recieve one swap token for each book that they bring in. They will then be able to use each token to collect a book on Thursday.
We would politely request that the books that are submitted for the Swap Shop are in good/reasonable condition with all pages present. Please do not submit books that are of sentimental value as you will not get them back.
Please be aware, that due to the nature of a Swap Shop, we cannot guarantee that each child will definitely find an exact number of books that they are interested in reading equivalent to the number they submitted. Also, the children cannot change their minds and take back a book they submitted if it has already been chosen by another child. Any uncollected books will be rehoused in the school library.
It should be a great opportunity for the children to gain some new reading material and discover/explore the reading habits of their peers. We are looking forward to it!
If your child has no books in English or Danish that they are able to swap, there will be a nominal charge of 5kr per book they would like to take.
