THERE'S AN ALGATOR UNDER MY BED
這是一本充滿想像力的書~
跟幾米最近出的那本"吃掉黑暗的怪獸"的題材有點兒類似
不過有差別的是~吃掉黑暗的怪獸感覺上通情達理多了
這本故事劈頭就說
There used to be an alligator under my bed.
故事中的小男孩手上還拿著一塊令人匪夷所思的大木板
下一頁謎底就解開了~
when it was time to go to sleep,
I had to be very careful
小男孩對於爬上床如此的戒慎恐懼~
唯恐一個不小心床底下的大鱷魚就會張開血盆大口
咕嚕一聲把他吞噬下去~
because I knew ha was there.
But whenever I looked,he hid..or something.
這一點就把平時我們對床底下有什麼東西疑神疑鬼時~
最貼切的寫照
(尤其是近來汽車旅館的床底藏屍事件..)
So I'd call Mom and Dad.
圖片中孩子驚恐的大叫和床底下捂嘴奸笑的鱷魚
形成有趣的對比~
But they never saw it.
It was up to me,
I just had to do something about that alligator.
哈哈~~孤立無緣~四面楚歌的情形下~
小男孩只得自立自強囉~
So I went to the kitchen to get some alligator bait.
I filled a paper bag full of things alligators like to eat.
奇怪咧~為什麼小男生要去廚房拿一些鱷魚的食物呢?
他不是很討厭鱷魚了~幹麻對牠這麼好呢?
I put a peanut butter sandwich,some fruit, and the last
piece of pie in the garage.
ㄡ~~莫非是他想把鱷魚引出來嗎?
在這一段裡~可以讓孩子學到許多食物的名稱唷!
I put cookies down the hall.
I left fresh vegetables on the stairs.
這一整面就用了"put"和"left"兩個不一樣的動詞~
還有"down"和"on"這兩個字~也是很值得注意唷!
I put a soda and some candy next to my bed.
Then I watched and waited.
Sure enough, out he came to get something to eat.
總是看到討論區上很多媽媽在問說哪一套英語教材好用?實用?
其實英文繪本是最實惠~最道地~最自然的教材
只要媽咪願意花時間唸給孩子聽~
每天定量的~不間斷的唸~相信孩子的英聽和閱讀能力一定會進步的
Then I hid in the hall closet.
I followed hime down the stairs.
I followed him down the hall.
於是鱷魚就順著小男孩佈的局一步一步往車庫的方向移動~
When he crawled into the garage.
I slammed the door and locked it.
Then I went to bed.
There wasn't even any mess to clean up.
slammed the door~把門甩上!!and locked it~並上鎖
很有動作和音效的一句話~
這也是一般幼幼英文課本不會教的~(他們都會說close the door)
now that there is an alligator in the garage,
I wonger if my dad will have any trouble getting in his
car tomorrow morning.
嘿~~這個小男孩還挺負責任的嘛~
他還會考慮到明天一早.萬一老爸要去車庫開車時~
那還得了!!
所以囉~他就很貼心在車庫的門上~留下了一張便條紙 ^^

我覺得非常的不錯~
無論是語言學習方面或是其他~
(故事中的小男孩自己會動腦筋想辦法~並不是哭哭啼啼的要爸媽幫忙)
