Beth's Dream Come True (My imaginary life for Beth Tweddle) (M)

2012年09月22日
Chapter 1

"Look, Miss Bethy Wethy is practicing gymnastics again!" Charlotte sniggered as she and Gruella sauntered off in the other directon. Beth wobbled mid-cartwheel and fell to the ground. She clenched her fists and walked slowly towards Charlotte and her little gang. They chattered on while struggling with the latest make up. Suddenly, Charlotte froze while her group split up evenly on her both sides.

"Hello. How are you? Not doing well with your make up are you?! Well, don't you dare mention even one bad thing about gymnastics!" Beth shouted, her neat hair slowly falling out of her bun.
"Yeah? Well, you just mention one good thing about gymnastics!" Charlotte yelled back. The two girls both gave each other a death glare...DING DING. The bell sounded for the end of recess, it's ear-piercing ding broke the silence of the group. The teacher strode over and eyed Beth's uniform, sighing, she walked off. Beth wrenched her hair bobble out, letting her chocolate brown hair loose, and hissed, "You want to one good thing gymnastics? It makes people look better than others who have make up on." and with that, she threw her bobble down.

Chapter 2

"You won't believe what Charlotte did today!" Beth exclaimed, flopping down on her peach pink beanbag that afternoon. She kicked off her dirty black school shoes and tucked a strand of her beautiful brown hair behind her ear and revealing her clean-ish, heart-shaped, delicate, little face. Her well-kept, shiny heart earings glistened in the sunlight. "Mmmm?", her mother answered, stirring the cake mixture halfheartedly. Beth immediatly started to complain about her day at Wilsford Primary.

"Tara has been teased like this before. She said it was life!" Mrs Tweddle replied, carefully placing the cake mixture in the oven.
"Really?" Beth asked.
"Really." Mrs Tweddle confirmed.
Suddenly, Mr Tweddle burst into the living room panting. "Switch on the Olympics dear. It's basketball now!" he panted, reaching for a drink. "Dad! It's rude to interrupt!" Beth exclaimed, but she still switched on the TV obediently.

Chapter 3

The whole family squashed on to the sofa to wath the basketball finals to find that it had finished! Beth sat up when she heard the reporter announce that gymnastics was next. Her family slowly slipped away to finish their work but Beth didn't notice. Tara was on!

Chapter 4

At the dinner table, Beth described each move that Tara had performed with detail. But neither Mrs Tweddle nor Mr Tweddle was listening! They were all busying their things while finishing off their spaghetti bolognese. Beth didn't notice once again, that they weren't paying attention.

Chapter 5

That night, Beth brushed her teeth carefully and flossed it. Then, she had a quick, warm shower. Her hair was soaked and her fringe covered her face like a pair of curtains. Her clean hair smelt of lavenders and her fresh pyjamas smelt of home and roses. She lay down on her comfortable pillow and dreamt of herself becoming a strong gymnast like Tara Evans. She dreamt that noone could hurt her physically anymore.

The next morning, she woke up to find her pillow was damp. 'It was a dream,', she thought, 'And I so wanted it to be real!'. The rest of her normal early morning snooze was spent on sobbing, her tears still streaming down her face, she got up and splashed her face with cold water. Afterwards, she made a vow to control her temper and let herself be strong like in her dreams.

Chapter 6

Beth trained hard and soon was a teen. She was a qualified gymnast! She was strong like Tara. She was calm like Tara. She was a qualified gymnast like Tara. She hadn't been in the Olympics, not like Tara. Still though, she trained hard for her dreams to come true.

Epilogue

Beth Tweddle stood waiting for the music to start, her heart beating fast. She was in the London Olympics! From the crowds point of view, she was as cool as a cucumber. They watched in amazement as Beth Tweddle spun and cartwheeled, backflipped and frontflipped, jumped and leaped and finished with a smile on her face. This talented girl won gold medal! In the crowds, a familiar face was seen smiling and cheering, it was Tara Evans! It was Beth's dream come true!
