Neighprise! (Tara and Anna)(M)

Ever since having been to Mushroom Village, which was only a few days ago, mum had been full of surprises.

Tara double-clicked the left click and scrolled down the page. "There are lots of Spring activities." she commented. She was on the Bookholic website. It was mainly aimed at people who loved books. There were quizzes about/from books and authors, book reviews and many other things. Occasionally, if there were really big events, the website would tell you. You had to have an account though and that was what Tara had.

Anna switched on the radio and it blared on about some singer for a few minutes. Soon, Tara was still busy reading some free books that you could read on Bookaholic. Just as Anna was thinking about switching off the radio for it was boring, it started a song! Tara ran downstairs from her room to the living room and started dancing "This is my favorite singer! Well, the only singer I know but, still!" .

Anna decided to check out what Tara had been doing upstairs so she tiptoed upstairs holding her Miley Cyrus CD. Tara's room had two bookshelves full of books, a box of antique books, a bunk bed, a wardrobe, a lamp, a table with some books, a laptop, a radio and her diary on it. Anna saw the laptop was open and the radio was on. She slid into the chair that had two cushions propped on it and scanned the laptop screen. "Spring events......horse riding club eighty percent off at Horseland at Texas.......Easter eggs hunt all over Texas, New York, Washington DC and Kentucky FOR FREE..." Anna read, eyebrows frowning in concentration. "I have an idea!" she exclaimed, just not quite loud enough for Tara to hear.

The next day at breakfast, Anna scoffed some toast into her mouth and washed it down with orange juice. When Tara came downstairs, she was pretty surprised that Anna wasn't taking her time in front of the TV and eating cereal. Anna and her mum had decided to take Tara to Horseland for some riding lessons since it was one of her hobbies! Tara though, had a silent and awkward breakfast, for someone who doesn't know what's going on, it's pretty normal.

After her morning meadow run, she felt exhausted and huddled up in her room by the radiator reading her favorite horse book. It was time to go to Horseland so Anna and their mum knocked on Tara's door to get her. Tara was so absorbed in her book she didn't hear them, so Anna turned the door handle and went in. Before Tara could shut her book and put it back in the bookshelf, they caught sight of the title of the book, 'Everything about Horses and Horseland' and in small print at the bottom, it said 'Horseland= best horse riding teaching and stable.'.

Anna and mum smiled when they saw the title and ushered Tara into the car. It was about half an hour drive there and Tara had been told to shut her eyes when there was an approximately three minutes drive away. When they got to Horseland, Tara was still not allowed to open her eyes.


"Where are we?" Tara asked, finally getting impatient. Sensing her daughter could not wait any longer, Mrs Bailey told the truth "About 1 minute left." . Tara sighed and allowed herself to be half dragged and half pulled behind them. Yellow hay crunched beneath their feet as the walked in the stables towards their friendly coach. Tara heard horse sounds but then told herself she'd been reading too many books about horses. "Open you eyes now!" Mrs Bailey and Anna instructed both excitedly and bossily. Tara opened her eyes slowly to find herself in a stable with horses, her mum, Anna, kids and a very friendly looking coach. Her coach said, "I'll be your coach for the next two terms. Welcome to Horseland!" .
