Elian swung his body off his dragon, Aurora. He patted her fiery scales and hurried into the forest to find some wood. Mean whilst, Longfang landed with a thump. His heavy, black eyelids were literally propped up with two twigs. Kira, his dragon rider, took away the twigs and allowed him to sleep. She rubbed her hands together while projecting her thoughts to Aurora, 'Where's Elian?'.
Just as Aurora was about to answer, two great, big dragons landed noisily behind them. "Ra! Kira! Fang! How are you?" Pell exclaimed. Nolita silently slipped off Firestorm and gave him an affectionate pat. Pell jumped off Shadow and gave shout towards the woods to call Elian back. The four dragons, the day dragon called Firestorm, the night dragon called Shadow, the dusk dragon called Longfang(Fang) and the dawn dragon called Aurora(Ra) sat up to await the wood. Elian dropped the wood on the soil and the dragons blew some fire to keep them warm. That night would be a good night.
At dawn, Ra roared to wake everyone up. Elian opened an eyelid and saw an amber eye staring down at him. "Ahhhhhhhh!" he yelled, waking everyone up. Kira moaned about Fang not saying it was day yet and snuggled back under Fang's ebony wings. Pell patted Shadow and stretched while Nolita still stayed silent. Pell checked his black mobile phone and grinned. "It's Easter Sunday so wake up!" he shouted in Kira's ear. Kira sat up abruptly and smiled. Her chocolate-coloured hair was a bird nest while she shared everyone some tinned baked beans. After their cold breakfast, Nolita ran to the stream by herself. When Elian noticed she had disappeared, everyone rode their dragons into the sapphire blue sky. Pell stayed by their camp in case Nolita came back. Shadow paced around, anxious to not have Firestorm around.
At the stream, Elian caught sight of Nolita, her hands dipped in the cool water. "There! Down there by the stream!" he shouted, gripping Ra's ridges tight. All the dragons dived down towards the stream and everything that went by was a blur of colour. Elian went pale to see Nolita touching the deep water and in a heartbeat, he was falling down...down...down....
"Mama! I want you! I want to go back home!" Nolita cried down the phone. She had never spent an Easter on her own. Tears slid down her cheeks like snails on a leaf, leaving a wet trail behind them. Just as she was about to hear her mother's answer, she saw a blur of red falling down towards her. "Ahhhhhhhh!" she screamed and she dropped her phone into the stream. She watched her soothing conversation float away and felt anger wash over her. She dipped her shaking hands into the water and began to wash them roughly. She then marched over to the limp body and gasped when she recognised him as Elian...
"Nolita! Elian! Is everything alright?" Kira asked, hidden behind a blur of orange. Ra was down like a lightning bolt and beside her rider in a heartbeat. She gave a roar of anger and flame burst out from in between her fangs. Ra stalked towards Nolita angrily and flame flooded out of her mouth like a warning sign. Nolita shrunk back mouse-like and squealed. "Ra! Don't! Noli! Come here! Behind me!" Kira ordered, hands waving about like a maniac. Nolita ran like the wind behind Kira and jumped onto Fang. Fang winced at the sudden pang of weight but flew Nolita back to the camp with Firestorm beside them.
That afternoon, Kira went to check on Elian and Ra who were in a wooden house that was there resting area. Holding a plate of fried eggs and hot baked beans on toast. She held a carton of orange juice in the other hand and was balancing a plate of dead chicken for Ra. "Elian? Are you feeling better? I 've got the best lunch we could manage for you. Ra? You've got some chicken." Kira said as she entered the wooden house. Elian was propped up against the straw bed and feathery pillow. He thanked Kira weakly and ate up his lunch and his drink. Ra gulped down the chicken in one. Kira helped Elian outside and there was Nolita, looking guilty and sad. "I ruined everyone's Easter so sorry Elian!" she burst out. Elian smiled, "You didn't, I had the best present that I wouldn't have had if you had really ruined it, the care from all of you was my present.".
