Dear Huahua,
Just in case you forgot or cannot be sure—Mommy loves you more than the whole world. But there are things that I do want you to think, take them to your heart, and do.
You absolutely need better time management skills. You need to make plans and have a routine so that you will not be tired all the time-- so tired that you lose interests in so many things that you may learn to like or love, things that may bring you new experiences and reveal to you new perspectives. In all, things that may show you more possibilities and potentials of life and make you enjoy your days even more.
I do not want you to miss all these. I hate to see you miss all these, and this is why Mommy got so frustrated so often.
Mommy has made quite a few mistakes in life. There are quite a few “I wish I had”s in my life, and I wish there had been fewer of them. So please do not miss out, especially when the reason may be as simple as exhaustion due to not enough sleep due to poor time management!
But please do not misunderstand Mommy’s intentions. You are such a brilliantly bright and well-rounded girl who has accomplished way more than most eight-year-olds there has ever been, including Mommy, and you have been working so hard to embrace your new school year as a fourth grader with Mrs. Yanai. I am so deeply proud of you—had I not loved you to the maximum already, I would have loved you even more for this. I can clearly tell that Mrs. Ghani has ignited something in you in the past year, but what I have observed in the past couple of months worries me. You seem to have lost some of the sparks; you seem less passionate about everything—you even smile much less than ever. Gosh I miss those sparkling smiles of yours!!!
You need better daily routines, Huahua. Make a plan, daily plans or schedules. Let Mommy know if I can be of any help. You are an amazing soon-to-be-nine-year-old girl. Let’s keep those sparks alive. Let’s see those brilliant lively smiles of yours more and then more!
