Dear Parents,

We had another fine day here at Camp Taiwan, though it was sad to say goodbye to the 6a mini campers. The day, as always, started off with a big breakfast. Today we had pancakes, bacon, cereal and fruit. Campers and counselors filled up before heading out to their morning activities. Youth campers used the morning to finish their core activity rotation while teens hit the big river and mini campers completed the last of their activities. Here is how the morning was organized:

Brown Team: Archery and Climbing
Light Blue Team: Climbing and Ecology
Orange Team: Ecology and Crafts
Red Team: Crafts and Cooperative Games
Yellow Team: Cooperative Games and Giant Swing
Pink Team: Giant Swing and River Tracing
Blue Team: River Tracing and Archery

The mini campers finished their rotation of rock climbing and sports. They played lots of fun new games while at camp this week.

Our teen campers went into the national park for big river tracing this morning. They made their own lunches this morning and then packed into the river. They climbed water falls, swam and generally had a great time in the water on a hot day.

Tonight everyone gets a bit of a rest with our movie night. Tomorrow we get to welcome a whole new group of mini campers.

The pictures will be uploaded a little later tonight. Check back at around 9 or 9:30 for today’s photos.

Good night from Camp Taiwan,
Mike

Please note, we try to get as many pictures on the blog as we can. Our counselors work very hard to make sure campers are safe and having fun. They take lots of photos as well, but that is not their primary responsibility, of course. At the end of the camp we will pass on all of our photos and videos.
