Afterthoughts of the Heart
by Joyce Lung and Linda Moxley
Death claimed you not so long ago
And our sorrow is profound
We still expect to see you
Your presence is all around
We cry for all the moment
We know will never be
Now our memories must sustain us
As your spirit is set free
We'll save your earthly treasures
That bring you back to mind
The scent of you still lingers there
So you're not hard to find
The family tree still bears your name
In the Bible handed through the years
With love you'll always be remembered
As we shed bittersweet tears
You will not forgotten
As generations pass by
We'll keep your memory in our hearts
We'll never let it die
