Dear Diary,
Today was my ballet exam! It was this afternoon at 12:30, only, we had to arrive 1 hour before our exam.
I was in a group with Georgia. She has a younger sister(Nadia) that is 2 years younger than Georgia, an older sister(Freya) that is 2 years older than Georgia and last of all, an older brother(I don't know his name) that is 2 years older than Freya. Everyone in her family has blonde hair, apart from her brother who has brown hair. All the girls in their family, apart from their mum, has really long hair.
Me and Georgia wore lilac leotards, pale pink tights and our leather ballet shoes. We also had a navy-colored character dress and a pair of black, pink-strapped character shoes that were the cuban heel ones. That was for later for the character. We also had a color ribbon pinned on our leotards. I was pink, Georgia was blue. These colors weren't choose-able. Just too bad we weren't allowed to wear our knickers!
The examiner was called Mrs Quinn. She looked kind of old. We also had a pianist called Garreth. He wasn't the best at the piano(he slipped notes)! Ms Quinn wasn't very smiley, mum pointed out that most examiners weren't smiley. Then I told her out of ten, ten being the smiley-est examiner I've had and 0 being the un-smiley-est , she was a 3.
The exam room was long and narrow, not actually TOO narrow. It was like a long rectangle. It had a stage, a piano(how else would Garreth play for us?) , a barre, a notice board and a table & chair(how and where else would the examiner sit and give us points?).
After the exam, the other girls in our grade, but had their exams an hour later than ours, had arrived. They were Amy and Alexandra. In there group, there was also a boy called Sebastian. Amy and Alexandra were really nervous and they kept asking us if the examiner, Ms Quinn, was nice.
Well, I hope I get distinction and good luck to the other girls too!
